ADMINS

The main objective of the ERASMUS project “DEVELOPING SPORT ADMINISTRATION COMPETENCES (ADMINS)” addresses the need of fostering the job-related skills and competences of sports administration employees, who in turn strengthen the capacities of sports organizations and contribute to better governance in sports.

  • Academic partners

Academic partners are represented by PAR University College and Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM). They will share the responsibility for the following: a) curriculum development for the educational modules aimed to foster sports administrators’ skills and competences; b) educational modules development, as well as the content, teaching and learning materials, teaching methods, etc, c) provide the professionals who will be responsible for delivering these modules to the sports administrators; d) develop training methodology.

  • Sport organisations

They are represented by two organizations: The Croatian Association for Sport Management (HASM) who is the Applicant, and Swedish Sports Confederation, Västerbotten (SSCV).

Their main task will be to send the sports administrators working in sport organizations to participate in ADMINS and gain the knowledge provided by the HEIs.

  • NGO’s

Two NGOs will participate in this project as well. Mine Vaganti MVNGO is an educational training provider at a local and European level and has a consultant role for public and private bodies in order to promote and develop European and trans-continental projects. On the other hand, IHF asbl is an NGO active in Brussels since 2003 carrying out awareness and training on the various facets of European Integration. In this project, IHF will contribute with its expertise to the dissemination and valorization, building on its proven track record of designing and implementing dissemination and visibility campaigns at the EU level.

Having analyzed the adequate needs of sports organizations, sports administrators and sport in general, the necessity of the educational modules that would foster administrators’ knowledge and skills is evident.

The first innovative feature is developing a comprehensive curriculum consisting of 6 custom-tailored modules aimed at providing sports administrators with knowledge and competences that would help them make the sports organizations more efficient and suitable for the users’ needs. The modules will be understandable, simple, easy to lear, perfectly organized for all the new, and also for current employees with primary and secondary education.

The second innovative feature is developing an online learning platform, which will serve as an online hosting platform for this project’s modules.

The third innovative feature is the form of knowledge transfer of the project proposal. More precisely, the knowledge transfer and interactions are not conducted only between partner organizations but between course instructors and sports administrators as well.
